How Can I Help?

Welcome to An English Collection, a hand-picked group of eclectic ‘must see’ places to visit in England. Having worked with travel trade and press worldwide for many years, here are a number of popular world class attractions to inspire your travellers and readers.

Be inspired by a visit to the hugely popular JORVIK Viking Centre, located within the walls of the medieval city of York. Explore the history of the Viking village discovered on the site of the attraction. The city of York has many attractions to offer visitors plus tearooms, excellent shopping opportunities, boat trips and ghost walks!

Let this iconic English brand of ceramics inspire you at World of Wedgwood. The attraction offers an award winning museum, a fascinating factory tour – watch painting of the beautiful ceramics with the possibility of throwing a pot as part of the tour!  Enjoy afternoon tea or make a special purchase as a memento, which can be shipped home too!

The Royal Gardens at Highgrove – when HRH The Prince of Wales bought the house in 1985, the garden consisted of a lawn and a few thorn bushes. In the intervening years, HRH has transformed the land adjoining the house into several exquisite gardens that embody his gardening ideals and organic principles.

Discover the amazing Houses of Parliament, located in Westminster in the heart of London, on the banks of the River Thames. Visitors can enjoy a variety of tours and explore a combination of 1,000 years of history, contemporary political activity, as well as stunning art and architecture.

The magnificent Bamburgh Castle sits high and proud on a cliff above the white beaches of the Northumberland coast, very inspiring. The fourteen state rooms are amazing, just waiting to be explored and the castle is open all year.
